This Privacy Policy explains how Park Ministry LLC (“Park Ministry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you access or use parkministry.com, our mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy applies to Customers who use the Services to reserve parking, including those who check out as guests without creating an account. It is incorporated into the Park Ministry Terms of Service by reference.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Park Ministry is based in the United States. If you are accessing the Services from outside the United States, please be aware that information you provide will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
We collect information in three ways: (a) information you provide directly to us; (b) information we collect automatically when you use the Services; and (c) information we receive from third parties.
When you use the Services, whether as a registered Customer or as a guest at checkout, we collect information you provide, which may include:
When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including:
We may receive information about you from third parties, including:
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
We share personal information with the following categories of recipients:
When you complete a Booking, we share information necessary to fulfill the Booking with the parking operator at the relevant facility. This typically includes your name, contact information, vehicle information (including license plate number), Booking details, and the parking pass or credential issued for your Booking. Parking operators are independent third parties and use this information to honor your Booking and, where applicable, to provide on-site customer service. The operator’s use of your information is governed by its own privacy policies and our Operator Services Agreement, which restricts operators from using your information for purposes other than fulfilling your Booking.
We share information with service providers that perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processing, hosting and cloud infrastructure, customer-support tools, email and SMS delivery, analytics, fraud prevention, mapping, and security monitoring. These service providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to perform services for us and are bound by contractual obligations to keep it confidential.
Payment processing on the Services is performed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and stores your payment-card information directly and processes payments on our behalf. Stripe’s use of personal information is governed by its own privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
Park Ministry may broadcast parking inventory to third-party distribution channels, including parking aggregators and event-ticket marketplaces. When you purchase parking through one of these channels rather than directly through parkministry.com, the third-party channel collects your information in accordance with its own privacy policy, and Park Ministry may receive Booking-related information from the channel to facilitate fulfillment.
We may disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; (b) enforce our Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy, or other agreements, including investigation of potential violations; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of Park Ministry, our Customers, our operators, or the public.
If Park Ministry is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We may share personal information for purposes not described above with your consent or at your direction.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information — information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you — for any lawful purpose, including analytics, research, marketing, and improving the Services.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.
Marketing communications are opt-in. We will not send you promotional emails or SMS messages unless you affirmatively opt in. If you opt in, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing email, replying STOP to any marketing SMS, or contacting us at legal@parkministry.com. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional communications related to your Bookings, which are part of the Services.
If you have an account, you may review and update your account information at any time by logging in. To delete your account, contact us at legal@parkministry.com. Note that we may retain certain information after account deletion as described in Section 7.
You may control whether the Services have access to precise location information through your device’s settings. Disabling location access may limit your ability to find nearby parking but will not prevent you from using the Services.
You may control cookies and similar tracking technologies through your browser settings, as described in Section 6. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret Do Not Track signals, we do not currently respond to them. We may revisit this practice as standards develop.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit, restricted access controls, monitoring of our systems, and use of reputable third-party service providers (such as Stripe) for payment data.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for safeguarding any account credentials you create.
We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, software development kits, and similar tracking technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to operate the Services, remember your preferences, analyze usage, prevent fraud, and (with your consent where required) deliver advertising.
Categories of Cookies we use include:
You can control Cookies through your browser settings, which generally allow you to block all Cookies, accept only first-party Cookies, or be prompted before accepting any Cookie. Blocking Cookies may affect the functionality of the Services. For advertising-related opt-outs, you may visit the Digital Advertising Alliance at https://optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our legitimate business interests. Specific retention periods depend on the type of information and the purpose for which we use it:
When information is no longer needed, we either delete it or de-identify it so that it can no longer reasonably be associated with you.
The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@parkministry.com.
This Section provides additional disclosures for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”). Terms used in this Section have the meanings given in the CCPA.
In the past twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:
We collect personal information from the sources described in Section 1: directly from you, automatically from your use of the Services, and from third parties.
We collect personal information for the business and commercial purposes described in Section 2.
We disclose personal information to the categories of recipients described in Section 3.
We do not sell personal information in exchange for monetary consideration. The CCPA defines “sale” and “sharing” broadly, however, and our use of third-party advertising and analytics Cookies (described in Section 6) may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. California residents have the right to opt out of such sharing as described in Section 9.7.
We do not collect or use sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about California residents, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out right under the CCPA.
California residents have the following rights under the CCPA, subject to certain exceptions:
To exercise your California rights, contact us at legal@parkministry.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request” or use any opt-out mechanism we make available on the Services (such as a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, where applicable). We will verify your identity before responding, which may require us to ask for additional information to confirm that you are the person to whom the personal information relates. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; the agent must provide proof of authorization.
Residents of certain other U.S. states (including, depending on the state, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others) may have rights similar to those described in Section 9 under their respective state privacy laws. These rights typically include the right to access, delete, correct, and port personal information, and the right to opt out of certain uses of personal information for targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. To exercise any such rights, contact us at legal@parkministry.com, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
The Services are intended for users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your personal information will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States. By using the Services, you consent to such transfer, processing, and storage. We do not currently offer features intended for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with comprehensive data-protection laws, and we may decline to provide Services to users outside the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice, such as by posting a notice on the Services or, for Customers with accounts, by sending an email, before the changes take effect. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was most recently revised. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
